Rikiya Iimura Sensei is one of Japan’s most successful competitor and
instructor. He became the JKA national champion and world champion (youngest World Champion in JKA history). He also competed in Japan team for WKF, who had great success in Premier League as well as the WKF World Championship. He was part of the WKF Japan Team that won silver medal at the world championship in 2016. Mostly recently, he became a 2019 Kumite champion at Ibaraki Kokutai National Championship in Japan.
He graduated from the Taisho University, one of very famous Universities for its successful Karate Club. He has been in WKF and JKA Japan national team since college, and he became JKA instructor after graduation. In 2015, he moved to Kumamoto prefecture to start his family and continue with his Karate career. While continuing with his domestic competition career, he teaches open-style Kumite classes.
